The Texoma Regional Police Academy (TRPA) at Grayson College offers a 20 week (804 hours) daytime program designed to prepare students for a challenging and rewarding career in law enforcement. TRPA also offers a 44 week part time evening academy class. Students are awarded 24 credit hours of college credit for the completion of the Police Academy program at Grayson College. The police academy is accredited by The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
Throughout the program, students will participate in classroom instruction and live training exercises. Individuals completing the day or night Academy and passing the TCOLE state-licensing exam are certified to seek employment in state and local law enforcement agencies, throughout Texas, as a full time peace officer or reserve officer.
To be admitted to TRPA students must meet the following minimum entrance requirements:
- At least 21 years of age at the time of graduation from the course
- Be of good moral character
- Provide a completed application form to the Texoma Regional Police Academy and be interviewed personally

- Submit to electronic fingerprinting by Murphy Trust USA, and cleared by TCOLE
- Take a psychological exam with a reading test score at a 12th grade reading level
- Gain admission to Grayson College.
